The Challenge

To increase the capacity of the busy cafe at W6 Garden Centre in Chiswick, West London through the winter months.

The Solution

By working closely with the garden centre’s directors, we were able to propose suitable structure options to cover the patio area outside the cafe, which would allow customers to enjoy the garden centre, yet be covered from the elements. This included installing a 9x6m marquee, with suitable fastenings to fix the marquee onto hard standing.

In order to preserve the look and feel of the garden, it was decided that the structure use would be sympathetic to the surroundings. This resulted in Trafalgar Marquees installing clear window walls and clear gables, allowing light to flow into the marquee, and meaning that customers could enjoy the view of the garden centre from the inside of the marquee throughout the winter months.
