Based in South West London, Lady Eleanor Holles School is an independent girls school. Founded in 1710, the school currently has 900 pupils.
We helped the school with two challenges:
- To provide additional space that allowed singing lessons to continue whilst students were socially distanced.
- To give their Sixth Form additional space.
Trafalgar provided a roof-only solution for the first challenge. We installed a 9m wide temporary structure that meant fresh air continued to circulate, providing a Covid-safe environment.
Within 48 hours of being asked, we provided a solution for the second solution. We installed a 12m x 21m structure with a hard floor, solid doors and a thermostatically controlled heating system. Full height partitioning provided segregating so the marquee could be used for multiple purposes. Siting the marquee on the school pitches next to the Sixth Form Centre meant students and teachers didn’t have far to walk between lessons. This structure was installed over a weekend so school life wasn’t disrupted.
Both the Sixth Form and Music students at Lady Eleanor Holles School were able to continue learning on-site, safe in the knowledge that the chance of catching Covid was significantly reduced.
